Gastroenterology
Gastroenterology is the medical specialty that deals with the diagnosis and treatment for all the digestive diseases and cancers affecting the gastrointestinal system, which includes the esophagus, stomach, small intestine, large intestines, liver, gallbladder and pancreas.
Digestive diseases are very common in a community, with 50% of the population suffering from some symptoms related to the digestive system.
